Supportive Housing

Our supportive housing is for young men ages 18-21 who want additional support after leaving foster care. Here at Better Me we specialize in helping young adults enhance their life skills by giving them a home to live in until they turn 21. Our approach is giving our young adults the space to live independently without 24/7 micromanaged supervision but still making them feel comfortable and safe. We offer a less restrictive approach because we believe that for you to grow as an adult you should be treated as one. We believe that wherever you live you should be a part of making important decisions that affect your living situation. There is no fee to reside in the home if you are a participant in the Supervised Independent Living Program for DFPS.

Our unique combination of support and guidance empowers them to build a solid foundation for their future success. Through financial literacy programs, they can learn essential money management skills, such as budgeting, saving, and investing, equipping them to make informed financial decisions throughout their lives. The focus on life skills ensures that they develop essential abilities such as effective communication, problem-solving, time management, and resilience, which are vital for personal and professional growth.
